The plan also includes provisions for a possible metro service in the future.MVDA is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the project. The first phase will cover the construction of an approximately 4-km elevated road between Machhli Phatak and Masani in Mathura.
The remaining stretch will be developed in the second phase.Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad vice-chairman Shailjakant Mishra chaired a meeting to review the DPR in Mathura on Friday.According to the proposed plan, the road will not merely serve as an alternative route but will be developed as a comprehensive transport corridor with facilities such as parking and commercial utilities.
Provision for a possible future metro network is also being considered while preparing the DPR.The corridor is also expected to link the Masani area with the national highway and improve access between Mathura and Vrindavan.MVDA vice-chairperson Laxmi Nagappan said the project would provide an additional commuting route and help ease congestion on existing roads.“Besides benefiting local residents, the project is expected to make travel easier for pilgrims visiting temples and exploring Braj.
It will also help streamline vehicular movement and improve traffic management in the twin cities,” she said. She added that the DPR would be submitted to the state govt later this month. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Agra | Silver Rate in Agra | Bank Holidays in Agra | Public Holidays in Agra | Agra AQI | Weather in Agra | Petrol Price in Agra | Diesel Price in Agra | CNG Price in Agra | LPG Price in AgraStay updated with the latest Agra news.
